Your WQ Photo

WRITE IT

Hand write your WQ on whatever surface calls to you, be it chalkboard, cardboard, or sand, and check that it is legible. Write in whichever language serves you/the question best.

CONTEXT

Is there a way to present it so that it becomes more layered in meaning? Where it is taken (background)? Is it taken with someone or something?

EMBODY

We want photos that reflect the CONTENT of your WQ. This is not a “smile for the camera” photo. Allow your physical body to also ask the question through facial expression, body language, how you hold the board, etc.

If this is difficult - ask “When I say this question, where do I feel it in my body?” Go to this place and let your body reflect what you feel.

If you are having trouble or are self-conscious, have the person taking your photo SNAP! it on the count of 3. Do this several times so you become comfortable and know what to expect.

SNAP!

Choose the best photo that conveys the essence of your WQ. It’s sometimes better to let someone else choose the photo.

Almost done!

UPLOAD TO WQ

This is where you share it with us. We need your permission to share this on the website and let others use it in their own work. We also want you to categorize it so others can find you in our gallery.

TWEET/FB

For those of you who use social media, please share your WQ. There will be more explicit ideas when you submit your photo.

MAKE ART

Why Art?
Art comes from our souls.
Art can be a political force, a force for change

  • a force to break down denial and break into hopes
  • a force that brings communities togethers
  • a force to uplift our hearts as we face uncertain futures
  • a force to challenge collapsing systems

Art transforms fear and anger into creative, collective action.

Art now.

HELP OTHERS FIND THEIR WQ/VOICE
